Hye Everybody!

I am planning on starting up a blog for the Last Minute Knitted Gifts Knitalong soon! So, for anyone who is interested tell your friends about it! I have been knitting so much from that book! I made the baby sweater, the hats (3 times), the rib scarf, and the bunny. SO much STUFF!!!!!!! It is all so pretty. I would have pictures but my dad is not being very helpful in finding the camera cord. SO, still no pictures. Sigh.

Random Things

It's good to be back...I've been lost for a while. Definitely too long since my last (and first) post. Sarah has threatened serious bodily harm if I didn't hurry up and make a new post. It still took over a week for me to get to it. Pathetic. Let's see...what's been going on? Well, speaking of Sarah, we had a great church retreat a lmost two weeks ago now during which she was reminded as to why I don't sing and she saw me dance to energizers (umm...yeah...I really don't need to be doing that either). It's a good thing I don't take myself seriously or I'd have a really nasty complex by now. Totally off the subject...but it's interesting to listen to some pretty heavy rock music and watch animated farm animals on Sprout TV (Audrey--the adorable 3yr old--is watching it across the room) at the same time. I can't really describe the mixture of the two other than really really odd. Anyway, it was a great weekend with the exception of two really really cold showers. The sad part was that I got more sleep sharing a cabin with junior high boys than I did the week before when on another retreat with all the officers of the church. Guess some people never grow up. Well, today was basically an unofficial state holiday because it was national signing day for college football. Our radio at work was tuned to the sports talk radio station all day to get the latest. Nothing like having no life! I have two Hello Kitty Pez dispensers up my shirt sleeve. Yeah...Pez dispensers...Audrey put them there. She wants me to tell you that they're playing a game (apparently involving hiding in my sleeve). Don't know much else that has happened in the past few weeks...other than being cyber-stalked briefly by a junior high cheerleader that mistook me for a 14yr old. Yeah...I'll leave that one alone right there. Thanks Sarah for helping clear that one up! It's once again safe for me to log on to AOL Instant Messenger! Actually, she was a really nice person...she was just misinformed to some vital details about me. Anyway, I better wrap it up here for now. I'll post again in the very near future!

Hey!

Hey all! It is Sarah! I have been knitting so much and using up so much yarn! I have been using the money I would have normally used buying yarn, to go towards books and magazines. Baby items and Christmas presents are the main things on my knitting list right now. I have seven gifts done and I am working on three. I have pictures of all of them, but we rearranged furniture and got new stuff from DaddyBill's house down at the beach, so I can't find the cord to hook up my camera.

I got a bunch of new stuff for my bedroom! It is all antique and so pretty! The new bed set is black and white people fabric. The dresser and other dresser and badside table along with the mirror were all my mother's grandmothers. I got these two huge bookshelves, that I only need the first two shelves to hold my books. And I have two! I put pictures and my calander and my books on one of the shelves. On the other one, I put my stuffed animals and my knitting books. There are still two empty shelves, so I want to buy wicker baskets with black febric on the inside to put my yarn in so I can get rid of the plastic thing it is all in now!

In my other knitting news, I have knitted so much! I have finished the two sets of dishcloths, two scarf, two eyepillows, and one purse for Christmas presents! Yea Me!!

Analyzations

I printed out my past post and gave it to Sarah to read.
Considering I cried while typing my previous post for no apparent reason I wanted people to analyze it for me.
The first person I asked with confindence of explaining my crazy spaztic writing and freaked out emotions was Sarah.
She wrote this

Linny Poo!
Maybe it hit you in your sleep last night how much you are going to miss your brother when you move. Maybe you cried about how you are going to miss the person who is always there when you cry or when you need someone to make you happy.
I know that you love Zach a lot, but maybe it just hasn't hit you about how much more you will miss Zach. I may not be a really good analyzer, but this is my opinion.

Hope this Helps!

Saha (yes that is how she spelled it)

Shelby read it after Sarah and I didn't even ask her to analyze it she just blurted out,
"well it sounds like you should be dating Patrick not Zach"

I am confused about the analyzations, but it will come to me eventually.

The Definition of Friendship Part 1

Ok well I have posted like 3 times already but okay.

Everyone has best friends right?
What is the defition of friend?
The webster's dictionary says that a friend is a human or animal who you trust and believe.

I don't think that is the best definition for friends and this is why.
Well I have the bestest best friends in the whole world.

The Boy

My best friend, my brother, my clown, my protector, and my shoulder to cry on is Patrick.
He is always there for me and always has been.
The inside jokes, the secrets, the hugs, the tears, the smiles, the laughs, the bad things, the good things, the break ups, the embarrassing things, and the special things.
We have shared it all.
I don't know how I could be who am I am today without him. He reminds me that it is okay to be your self and lets me feel it is okay to be my stupid self. LOL 8^)
He is my brother.
I can tell him anything, he is the brother I always wanted and he is a good one.
He is my clown.
When I cry...he is always the first person to rub my back and ask,
"What's a matter with Lindsey?" in his sweet joking voice.
He is always the one to poke my cheeks and act stupid just to put a smile on my face.
I always try to be stuborn and not smile but truly on the inside I am smiling. He is the only thing that makes me smile on my depressing days.
He is my protector.
He may be the first one to kick me when I am down or laugh at me when I am clumsy, but he is also the first one to help me up and yell at the person who hurt me. He is always the one who says,
"Well I am just going to have to boy shot that guy aren't I?" and makes me feel better. He makes me feel safe.
He is my shoulder to cry on.
Even a slight frown and he is worried I am sad. One tear shed he forces me to tell him what is on my mind and it always makes me feel better when I do tell him. He hates to see me upset and does all he can to make me feel better. A hug, holding me for a long time, acting stupid, or whatever it takes he does it.
Patrick has been my best friend since I was 3 and despite me moving I know he will always be my best friend.

He is my best friend out of all my friends girls and boys.
He is my missing half...............

To be continued......

Linny

Tired.....Sleepy....Tired

Grrr....
I am rather tired.
Today was very entertaining

I was mad at Patrick and then I wasn't and then I was.
You all know how that goes....
It is a love/hate thing.
Sometimes I just get frustrated at him, because he is my brother and I love him and even though I know he will take care of me and love me too I like want to strangle him sometimes.
Oh well I love him though.

Does anyone one have the answer to the question all women ask to the men?
Eric, Patrick, Zach, any answers?
Well the question is, Are you ever serious?
I love the jokes but when girls tell you they love you, or they need to talk about important stuff they act like freaks.

I love my brothers so I guess I will have to put up with it.

Another question.
If a tree falls in a forest but no one is there to hear it does it make a sound?
Just kidding,
How many words does it take for a writer to make a point?
.
.....
.........
...........
............
............
................

If you guessed 3 ur correct.
I LOVE YOU

~ You're only as good as the coffee you drink ~

I am Scottie

You are SCOTTIE. You live for order in your knitting bag, in your closet and most of all, in your life. You like your friends where you can see them, best friends here, lunch buddies there, and crushes safely admired from afar. Some day you'll come out of your shell, but until your moment comes, you're content to keep your nose low, observing the movers and shakers of the world and taking notes. Your favorite yarn is a nice, workable wool.

Doesn't really seem like me......
I am more of the out going type.............
Oh well.............

Patrick:Fluffy Bunny Cakes
Linny:I love Zach
Patrick: Good for you
Linny: Good bye

As you might tell I have had a very productive day. 8^)
Well besides the never ending head aches, fighting with Patrick, and being sleepy, I love school. Screw that let's sleep! But again tomorrow with temporary cafine smile plastered on my face, Starbucks in hand, and a new notebook to write down my stories I will make it through another one of these horrid days.

MMMMMMMM...........
I am at loss for words..........

Good morning sun.....
I am a bird wearing a brown polyester shirt.......
You want a coke maybe some fries the roast beef combos only $9.95....
It's okay you don't have to pay I've got all the change.....
Everybody knows it hurts to grow up........
And everybody does so we're to be back here...........

Hi Everyone!

Sarah here. Sorry we haven't been posting. Linny and I have gone back to school and Eric is at work, so we have been pretty busy. I have gotten a bunch of knitting done. I finished my Aunt Laurel's Christmas present and I am almost done with Gram's. I have started a hat, using some Red Heart Super Saver in Camo, and some Wool-Ease in Brown I think. Did anyone see that they are bringing Cotton Ease back? I did, and I can't wait to try some out. I will probably use my Michaels gift card. A gift card is like someone giving you yarn, so technically, I am not breaking the rules of the Knit Your Stash 2007 thing. I am so bored.

Today, Linny and I both checked out because we had awful stomach aches. I was sitting in a chair, almost curled up at one point, clutching my stomch. My teacher looked back and forth, at a place where she could have seen me and didn't notice! Of course, this is Mrs.Smith, who is the queen of the preps, I am sure, so she was probably off IMing Coach Hodge. I will let Linny tell you our conspriary theory on the two of them. Bye bye!

Hey Everybody!

I have knitted a lot this week, since it is still holiday vacation. I am NOT ready to go back to school. Blah. I have already finished my aunt's Christmas present. It is a 12 stitch wide scarf knit in garter stitch with Lion Boucle and size 17 needles. I have also finished 5 pairs of baby booties, one preemie hat, one child size hat, and four dishcloths. Man, have I been busy. I gave 21 partial skeins of yarn to Lindsey for a late CHristmas/Birthday gift. Very good for me. This is going to be very nice for the Knit Your Stash 2007. I had a birthday party today and got a $10 Wal-Mart gift card, a $20 Michaels gift card, a $20 Starbucks giftcard, $15 from my friend Maegan, and a really really cute pair of earrings. A very good birthday. We watched Over the Hedge and ate lots and lots of food. It was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! I will chat a little more tomorrow and I may have some pictures to share! ttyl.

Happy New Year from the New Guy...

Happy 2007 to everyone who reads this blog! I am Eric...Sarah Dianne's friend and the father of the "adorable three-year-old". I have absolutely no idea how to knit (except that needles and some kind of yarn is very important to the whole process), so don't look for any tips from me...Sarah is the knitting queen. I will post on here from time to time of random goings on in our corner of the world. The only goings on of any importance in this entire state seems to be that we have landed Nick Saban as our new football coach. At my office today, I think we calculated his salary to be somewhere just north of $600 an hour, and that's based on an 80 hour week. Gee...I'm 5% of the way there, boy do I feel lucky, not that I'm bitter...I'm sure his job is 20 times more important. I hope the holidays were kind to everyone...I did get a great Christmas present that I quickly became addicted to. For anyone who has Sirius satellite radio, you understand that it is hard to ever go back to regular radio after listening to it...now I just need a second pair of ears so I can take in more of what's on it. Enough for now. The adorable 3 year old, Audrey, is calling me saying it's time to fix dinner. Bonsoir...

I've Been Tagged!

Well, I have been tagged. What are six weird things about me???? Lets see.......
1) I am a preacher's daughter. Some people think this is not weird, but let me tell you! It is!
2) I babysit more than I do things with my friends.
3) I still have a baby doll that I recieved from my grandmother when I was three.
4) I buy more knitting books than I buy novels.
5) I let my friend Lindsey borrow my clips even though I know that I will forget to get them back.
6) I have two Harry Potter calanders and they are never on the right month, but my knitting pattern a day calander is.

I have to tag six people. I probably need to come up with six people. lol.

In my knitting news, I have finished another pair of baby booties and a little hat. I use the baby doll I mentioned to try them on. They are a little big on her, which means they will probably fit someone. I have started using Caron Simply Soft BRIGHTS! That is how they write it. It is a little weird. Oh well. I used a bright yellow for the latest pair, and I have purple and a really really really bright blue. I probably need to cast on for a square for Warm Up America if I am going to Knit Wits, a knitting group from my church, tomorrow night. They are knitting bed coverlets for the First Light Women's SHelter and I have been told again and again that they need a Sarah square. I am thinking that if I don't knit up a square they will ban me from Knit Wits. lol. If I go, I will take my camera.

I have been cleaning up my room all day today so I don't have to do it tomorrow. I am having a birthday party on Saturday, but Lindsey is spending the night Friday night so I need to clean up. At my party we are going to watch The Devil Wears Prada (awesome movie by the way) and eat and eat. I can't wait. I probably need to finish up in my room, so bye for now!

Knit from Your Stash!

I have decided to join the knit from your stash knit a long type thing. You can find it here, http://wendyknits.net/stash2007.htm. It seems pretty cool. I have decided that for me, the yarn that does not count is going to be baby yarn to use for NICU and new babies. I actually have plans for the stuff I have in my stash, so I think this may work out. I have also decided to do this all year, instead of just nine months. I have knitted up three pairs of baby booties and gotten about five or six inches done of Pop Pop's hunting scarf. I can not work on it for to long at a time because the color orange actually hurts my eyes! Sigh. I will post tomorrow!

I Am Amanda

Which Chick Are You?

You are AMANDA. On the surface, you've got the bright and shiny life we all want. You're rich, gorgeous and your Am Ex will buy you the designer clothes of your dreams. Being the popular party girl comes easily to you. It's getting close to friends (or boyfriends) that's a challenge. Maybe if you unloaded that big secret of yours, you'd feel less need to keep folks at arms length. In your Kate Spade knitting tote is all the fuzzy, novelty yarn you can carry.

Normally, I would be upstairs, enjoying the party but I got exiled downstairs to be on kid duty. So, I took the Chicks With Sticks quiz. I found it on Elizabeth Lenhard's website. I am sooooooooo very bored. I am knitting up a really really fast hat using two strands of Caron Simply Soft. The colors are turquoise and purple. It is turning out very fast. I like it. I have also started a scribble lace scarf for my grandmother using Incredible and crochet cotton. It is very pretty but knitting with crochet cotton is not that fun. I shoudl probably go for now. Happy New Year!

Hey Everybody!

My parents and my sister and I are having a little New Years Party! Nicole and Earl and Mrs.Ann and Mr.Ken and Catherine, Michael, and Bryce are coming! I will be able to give the kids their hats and mangae to get pictures taken. Yesterday on my birthday, I bought the second Chicks WIth Sticks Book, Chicks With Sticks (Knit Two Together). I stayed up until 11 to finish it. Oh my gosh it was wonderful! Today I got 9 skeins of yarn from Mrs.DIxie and Mr.Bud for my birthday! NINE! It was all really good quality too. I was impressed. My grandfather wanted me to make him a bright orange scarf that he can wear hunting. He wants it really wide so I cast on 37 stitches on size 8 needles. I am using seed stich. Of course, it has to be bright orange so people can see him so I am using Caron Perfect Match in Orange. Sigh. This color is hurting my eyes but he has never requested anything from me to knit for him, so I really want to make this look nice. Happy New Year! I will have pictures tomorrow!

3 Finished Hats and No Mittens

I have given up on the mittens. Sigh. Oh well! I bought the SImply Creative Crochet magazine today at Bookland and found the cutest stuffed animal patterns. There is one for a lion, a hippo, and an elephant. I have started the lion and I think that it looks pretty cute! Of course I only have half of the head done! I have been knitting and crocheting in the car on the way to shop for different things this week. Today, Mrs.Dixie took my sister and me out to buy us each an outfit for Christmas. I, of course, have already gotten ENOUGH clothes for this Christmas, so I got a really cute sweater and two magazines! How good can it get!

Aren't the pictures cute! The first picture is of Audrey and me at a wedding last fall, I don't know who took the picture, but I have decided that I love it! The one of all the kids is me with my cousins and sister. The older blond is my sister, Catherine. The youngest, sitting beside Catherine, is my all time favorite cousin, Mary Margaret a.k.a. May. The boy is Phillip. Phillip is pretty cool. As much as he hates it he knows that he is pretty cool in my book, and I tend to pull the favorite, oldest cousin bit on him. I love that kid! The three little kids are the kiddos I made the hats for. I need to take a picture of those tomorrow. Oh sorry! The boy with brown hair is Michael! Isn't he prescious! He just had to get a stitch in his head when he fell and hit a rocking chair! Catherine is the girl. She is so sweet! She can act just like a monkey! Bryce is the biggest! He loves Superman, and Spiderman, and all those people. He was so surprised to find that at Sarah's house, she doesn't have the Bat Man movie! It was so funny!
I am actually making myself a birthday present. Weird don't you think. Of course, I started on it right before I went to "bed" so it isn't done yet. Oh well. I will finish it soon. I am making bath scrubbies and fash cloths, all in the same colors. A goldish colors, and rainbow! Very cute! I know that my sister got me Fresh Vanilla bath stuff, because I bribed her, but she won't tell me what my parents got me! I was irritated at her earlier, surprise, surprise.
Wow! I am actually getting tired! Happy Birthday to me and a Happy Happy New Year to You!

Two Hats Done!

I finished two hats and one poncho in two days. I am pretty impressed with myself. Of course, the poncho was made on size 19 needles and one of the hats was on size 10.5 double pointed needles because I detest seaming, but still! I have pictures uploaded upstairs, but I haven't e-mailed them to my laptop yet, so no pictures until tomorrow. The hats are using the self striping yarn Red Heart Strata, and they turned out very cute. I am making three hat and mitten sets to give to the triplets on Sunday. I have the cutest picture of them upstairs. I need to e-mail that to myself to. I am doing something different for 2007. I have a couple of pages in a little note book, that I got at Michaels for a dollar last year, marked for different things. Ponchos, baby booties, hat, etc. During the year of 2007 I am going to mark down whenever I finish something, and at the end of the year next year, I am going to put the grand total up here. By the way, Eric, my wonderful friend from church is going to be joining me in posting this year! Yea!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Boy, oh boy, did I have a great Christmas! I became the owner of.......

a knitting bag, 18 brand new skeins of great yarn! Yes! AND........ EEYORE SLIPPERS!!!! Aren't they cute! I got 14 skeins of cotton yarn, which I will probably use for Christmas presents, 2 skeins of Red Heart Strata, and two skeins of Lion Boucle. I really didn't like the colors of the Red Heart Strata for me, so I am making the skeins into a scarf and mitten set for Catherine Storie. The yarns stripes by itself which means that Catherine will love the stripes, and I won't have to change color yarn! Yea! We both win!
This is what I had of the hat about twenty minutes ago. It doesn't look all that good in the picture but it looks good when you see it. I also got two knitting books, Knitting For Peace, and Knit Two Together. I am actually getting the hat pattern from Knitting For Peace. I am sure that I have taken up enough time, so Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, and Happy Kwanza!
